Midas price guide

Midas publishes one national price list, so the oil change is $30–$75 (editorial source, not the chain's own page).

Against the other auto service chains we price ($20–$75 for the same service across 6 chains), Midas sits across the middle of the range.

How Midas prices

Midas publishes no national price. Coupons, offers and repair estimates are all gated behind picking a store first, so nothing is quotable chain-wide. The figure shown here comes from a dated editorial comparison, not from Midas.

What a visit is like

An oil change takes about 60 minutes and covers the oil and filter change plus the complimentary Closer Look Vehicle Check.
Oil Change Plus adds a tire rotation and about another 15 minutes.
The Closer Look Vehicle Check is a visual inspection of dash indicator lights, a road test, wipers, exterior lights, battery and cables, engine and cabin air filters, hoses and belts, washer fluid, engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, exhaust, steering, shocks and struts, driveline and differential, delivered as a digital report to your phone with photos and video.
Conventional, synthetic blend, full synthetic and high-mileage oils are offered; Midas says it will not use an oil that fails your manual's specification.
Service is booked by requesting an appointment at a chosen store, online or by phone.

Ways to pay less

Coupons and offers exist per store: you enter a location to see what that shop is running, then print or email the offer.
Mail-in rebates and a Midas credit card are offered alongside the coupons.

Good to know

Every coupon, estimate and offer is location-gated, so what one shop honours another may not.
The Limited Lifetime Parts Guarantee covers the part only: if a covered part fails, Midas supplies a new one but still charges for installation, and shop fees are extra.
The parts guarantee is limited to brake pads and shoes, mufflers, shocks and struts, and applies for as long as you own the car.
Midas changed hands in 2025-06, moving from TBC Corporation to Mavis Tire Express Services.

Frequently asked

How long does a Midas oil change take?

About 60 minutes, including the complimentary Closer Look Vehicle Check. Oil Change Plus customers should allow another 15 minutes for the tire rotation.

Do you need an appointment at Midas?

Midas runs on appointment requests rather than drive-up lanes: you pick a store and request an appointment online or by phone. It is a full repair shop, not a quick-lube bay.

What is the Closer Look Vehicle Check?

A complimentary visual inspection performed every time you bring the car in, covering the exterior and interior, under the hood and under the vehicle. The results arrive as a digital report on your phone with photos, video and an explanation of what needs fixing now and what can wait.

What does the Midas Golden Guarantee cover?

Two things. The Limited Lifetime Parts Guarantee covers brake pads and shoes, mufflers, shocks and struts for as long as you own the vehicle, replacing the part free but charging for installation. The Limited Lifetime Tire Guarantee covers tires bought and installed at Midas with free rotations and rebalancing every 5,000 miles plus free repair or replacement after road-hazard damage, down to 3/32nd of remaining tread.

Does Midas have coupons?

Yes, but they are per store. You have to give a location before the site will show you what offers that shop is running. Midas also publishes mail-in rebate forms and offers a store credit card.
