What a visit is like
- Service is booked through Walmart's scheduling flow; you drop the car off and shop, and the Auto Care Center notifies you when the work is done.
- Every lube service includes up to five quarts of oil, a new oil filter and chassis lubrication where applicable. Additional quarts cost extra.
- Courtesy services included with a lube service: battery performance check, air filter check, wiper blade check, lights check, transmission fluid check, washer fluid check and fill, power steering fluid check, differential fluid check, tire pressure check and fill, and an exterior windshield wash.
- Packages are sold by oil grade, from a basic conventional tier through standard, high-mileage and several synthetic tiers, plus a heavy-duty diesel option.
- Auto Care Centers exist only at a subset of Walmart stores, so the site asks you to find a participating location first.
- Walmart's FAQ says appointments are booked online where offered and suggests confirming the centre's hours, capacity and wait times before setting out, and avoiding peak store hours.
- You do not need to know your oil type before booking: technicians will look it up from the vehicle's make, model and year, though bringing the owner's manual specification speeds the visit up.
