What a visit is like
- Soft-touch wash, not touchless; the tunnel takes about three minutes.
- A membership lives either in the mobile app, where you scan a barcode at the pay station, or on an RFID sticker on the windshield that opens the gate automatically.
- Every site includes free high-powered vacuums and a detail centre stocked with interior cleaner, glass cleaner, microfiber towels and a mat cleaner.
- Tunnel limits are 7 feet 2 inches of height, tyres up to 13.5 inches wide and vehicles up to 85 inches wide; dual-wheel vehicles cannot be washed.
- Memberships work at any Whistle Express location, and the site says stores are open seven days a week with hours varying by site.
Ways to pay less
- Family plan: after the first full-price monthly membership, vehicles two through five are a flat discounted rate each, on a single payment method, with at least two vehicles required to keep the pricing.
